The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has taken a significant step towards enhancing industrial safety in The Gambia by pledging technical support for its Industrial Injuries Compensation Fund (IICF). Onyebuchi Ezigbo reported that the NSITF's commitment reflects a growing recognition of the need for robust occupational safety frameworks across West Africa. "We are excited to extend our expertise to The Gambia, ensuring that workers receive the protection they deserve," stated NSITF Executive Secretary, Dr. Michael Akabogu. This partnership underscores the importance of cross-border cooperation in addressing common challenges related to industrial injuries and social security.
