Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has called for enhanced collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs) to drive reforms in Nigeria's justice sector, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to strengthen the rule of law. Speaking at an event in Abuja, Osinbajo praised the contributions of the Citizens' Society for Legal Solutions (CSLS) in the implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) of 2015, which has made significant strides in promoting judicial efficiency.

Osinbajo stated, "The engagement of civil society is crucial for ensuring that justice is not only done but is seen to be done." His remarks come amid rising concerns over security challenges, including kidnapping and banditry, which have prompted discussions on economic measures, such as calls from a prominent academic for President Tinubu to limit daily cash withdrawals to curb these crimes.

Looking ahead, the collaboration between the government and CSOs could redefine Nigeria's approach to justice, fostering transparency and accountability. If successful, these reforms may not only enhance public trust in the justice system but also contribute to broader societal stability and economic growth.
