FATE Foundation has unveiled the Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme, supported by the Citi Foundation, aimed at fostering financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills among Nigeria's youth. This initiative responds to escalating youth unemployment rates, which reached 42.5% in 2026, underscoring the urgent need for innovative solutions to engage young people in sustainable economic activities.

The program will offer mentorship, training, and access to resources for aspiring entrepreneurs, focusing on practical skills that can help bridge the gap between education and employability. "We believe that empowering our youth with the right tools and knowledge will ignite a new wave of innovation and economic growth in Nigeria," said Adenike Adeyemi, Executive Director of FATE Foundation. This partnership aligns with global efforts to address youth unemployment, highlighting the critical role of entrepreneurship in economic development.

Looking ahead, the success of this initiative could pave the way for similar programs across Africa, fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs equipped to tackle local challenges and contribute to the continent's growth. As Nigeria grapples with its economic hurdles, such targeted interventions may prove essential in transforming the landscape for young business leaders.
