As Eid-el-Kabir approaches, the Oyo State Government has launched a commendable initiative aimed at alleviating the economic burdens faced by workers during the festive period. Through its Agricultural Credit Corporation, the government is distributing subsidised food items to eligible employees, a move designed to enhance food security and support local farmers.
This initiative comes in the wake of rising food prices and economic challenges that have disproportionately affected the working class.
