Founded in 2021, FLIAfrica is the continent's first institution dedicated to fashion law, addressing the unique challenges faced by designers and entrepreneurs in the fashion sector. The addition of this curriculum reflects a growing recognition of fashion as a vital economic driver in Africa, promoting creativity while safeguarding the rights of creators. “This step will empower our students to protect their innovations and contribute meaningfully to the industry,” stated Adebayo Ogunlesi, Coordinator of the Fashion Law program at Yaba College.
